Jacqueline and Mike’s wedding was a beautiful summer wedding held at the Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut was a day filled with so much energy and joy. With a fun color palette of pink and green, a champagne tower, and a surprise rainbow after a storm, every detail was a reflection of this fun-loving couple!
The Inn at Longshore is a stunning backdrop for the wedding. Its lush gardens and Connecticut, long island sound, waterfront views were the perfect backdrop for their reception. Jackie created champagne tower vignette that was both elegant and fun. Jackie and Mike were able to pop their champagne just before an epic storm rolled in having everyone bringing cocktail hour inside. Despite a sudden storm, the skies soon cleared, revealing a breathtaking rainbow. This was just another magical moment of the day.
Their Catholic ceremony was breathtaking as Mike and Jackie promised their futures to one another. I love listening to the ceremonies and the priest struck the right balance of knowing the couple and bringing the ceremony into the modern day reality of marriage. I see so many ceremonies and truly appreciate when it represents the couple, and their own faith or spirituality. The priest said something I haven’t heard before which was “marriage is not a contract but a covenant” and I was truly moved. A covenant in the Catholic faith is a promise God makes. This is comforting to know you aren’t going it alone, especially when times get tough. Enough of the ceremony and on to the party.
Jacqueline and Mike made a grand entrance by leading a parade with their live band, setting an energetic and festive tone for the evening. A talented Frank Sinatra singer warmed up the dance floor with classic tunes, creating a nostalgic and classy ambiance. The amazing band made us feel like we were at a concert. TiFusion, the band, continued the festivities, playing music from all generations, that kept guests dancing the night away. No one was in their chairs the whole night!
Jacqueline and Mike’s wedding at The Inn at Longshore was a perfect blend of elegance, personal touches, and natural beauty. The combination of meticulous design, a stunning venue, and a concert like atmosphere at their reception made their wedding day unforgettable.
