This Connecticut Coastline wedding at the Madison Beach Hotel was everything you’d dream of when you decide on a summer beach wedding. Ian and Jackie are the sweetest and welcoming couple not only to their guests, but every single member of their dream team of vendors. It’s these days that make you feel like you are capturing memories for friends; they just have that way about them. Their bridal party, friends and family were also amazing, fluffing dresses, gathering family, filling the dance floor and making the best memories, every single person had a blast. It was one of those weddings that will be brought up in conversations for years to come, believe me you are all amazing dancers (even if you were a little sore the next day, I swear it was worth it, even just for the photos.)

Ian and Jackie love the ocean and we had the best blue ever changing skies. This was the perfect backdrop for these two to start this chapter together. Before the wedding, Ian and Jackie exchanged intimate personal vows as mom and dad looked on from the balcony. Those sacred promises, just to each other, were really moving. I love the idea of private and public vows, it is so meaningful to have two promises. After the most perfect ceremony on the Long Island Sound, and of course their friends and family helping with those family photos, they enjoyed cocktails with friends and when the sun was just right we snuck away for a few more portraits on the beach. This is one of my favorite times of the wedding as a photographer. These golden hour summer light portraits are something we wait all year for and I usually only get about 10-15 minutes to do them! But they are some of my favorites. The dance floor photos from this wedding were epic. The whole crowd loved to play to the camera and have fun with EVERYONE in that room. One guest even insisted on taking a photo of the photographers which ended up being a really fun memory for me to keep of this special day. Because we too are really invested in your day! Each wedding day is written on our hearts and vivid in our memories. I can remember each day I have photographed down to the last detail and I don’t have a great memory. It is the fact that I am focused on every moment and then get to edit them after to create these beautiful stories for you. Enjoy this sneak peek of photos my friends.
