Megan and Nick’s wedding at the Stamford Yacht Club was a quintessential coastal celebration, with the elegance and Connecticut charm that every couple dreams of for their shoreline wedding.
The moment you meet Megan and Nick, it’s clear that a shoreline wedding is the perfect fit for them. They have a relaxed vibe and have a way of making everyone feel at home. Nick is also an avid fisherman and loves to go fishing with his friends and father-in-law on his boat.
Megan and Nick’s style is all about elevated elegance blended with warmth. Their wedding perfectly reflected this, combining sophisticated decor with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The Stamford Yacht Club, with its picturesque views and classic coastal charm, provided the ideal backdrop for their wedding.
The couple exchanged vows inside the club and it was stunning. The guests gathered in the club that was cooler than the hot summer day outside. Everyone was really able to focus on the vows being said, comfortable indoors and surrounded by flowers.
The reception was held under a sail cloth tent overlooking the Long Island Sound. At dusk, as tradition of the club, they lit a canon to welcome the evening. They had a cigar roller for those who partake. It was the most fun seeing Megan on the dance floor with all of her best friends!
Megan and Nick ensured their personalities shone through in every detail. From the custom cocktails named after their dog, to the custom painted invitations that featured their venue, every element was thoughtfully chosen to reflect their love for the sea and each other.
Surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Stamford Yacht Club, Megan and Nick’s special day was one for the books. It was an event that seamlessly combined coastal beauty with heartfelt moments, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Their wedding was a testament to their love, their style, and their shared passion for the shoreline. The thing I loved most about the wedding was Megan and Nick. Their love radiates out to everyone around them. To say we have become friends through this process is accurate. This was one of those lucky wedding days where I took not only meaningful and gorgeous photos, but I was photographing for a new friend.
